Letting a Modular Building Dealer Know What You Want
It is best to get a number of price quotes from various modular building dealers before making a final decision on who to purchase from. Be consistent in what you ask of the dealers. Don’t feel obligated to use one dealer right away because of a “deal” they may offer. To follow is a list of some of the important items that a dealer will want to know.
Length of time
The dealer will want to know how long you will be using the building to match up the best quality to that time frame.
What’s it for
Will you be needing a modular building as a lab, an office, a daycare, a classroom or something else? This will help the dealer to decide on what model to suggest for your requirements.
What’s inside
It’s important to let the dealer know if bathrooms, offices, classrooms, or conference rooms will be inside the structure.
How big
Let the dealer know the size of building you need. Modular buildings typically range from eight hundred to over twenty-five thousand square feet.
How tall
Modular buildings can be one or two or multi-story.
Style
Do you need a “stock” building or something customized?
Financing
There are several alternatives. You can make an outright purchase, rent/lease, or lease with intent to purchase.
Timing
Determine when you want delivery. Most modular buildings are shipped within a one to six month window.
Communication
Communicate with the dealer if any changes or alterations are desired after your initial consultation.
